And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

The first edition of this book was released in 2008.  Based on the feedback I received and nearly 3 years of further reflection on TULIP Calvinism and the exegesis and arguments in the 2008 edition, this edition contains a good deal of new content, deletes some errors and some portions that were more philosophical than textual, and has several improvements including a scripture index, a graphic to set off the many block quotes, quotations to a number of additional sources, better organization of the material within each chapter such as separately captioning and addressing “pillar passages” like John 6 and Romans 3 before the exegesis of the less important proof texts, word studies of key terms such as “elect,” and a treatment of the Reformed definition of “faith” that is the linchpin of the perseverance of the saints doctrine.  My hope is that this book will prove to be a valuable resource to you.
